Climbing in Bishop

I’ve been in the Bishop, CA area since Saturday trying to climb on rocks. Been a blast so far. Here’s pictures from the first day working on a V4-ish problem called Weekender.

Whoah. Looks fun. What’s the temp there? It was a balmy -4 here.

It’s been anywhere from upper 30s to upper 40s for highs. The nights have been cold though. Been camping and it’s gotten down to around 10 every night.

Are you back home? I thought I’d see some more pictures up here by now.

I bought the Pines album. It is really good. Any new recordings from you?

Which Pines album? The self-titled one? That’s really good. I have about 5 songs off it I got from emusic.com

I am back home now. Will put a couple more pictures up later today probably and more in a week probably when I get other people’s pictures.

It is the self-titled one. I really like “Black Train”

Hey, I did my best response to your question on medicine and scientific knowledge. Curious to read you thoughts on it.

I’ve left a comment w/ some thoughts. “Wishing Well Waltz” is probably my favorite Pines song. We need to go see them in concert. They do come through from time to time.

    Jeremy:
    Sounds fun.

I may do that soon when I get a version that I’m really happy with — and sing in key all the way through :)

Singing in key is HIGHLY over-rated!

I disagree with you there. Singing pretty is overrated. Singing in key is always necessary. Dylan didn’t sing pretty, but he did sing in key. Not singing in key is how you get cringing. E.g. What I’ve heard of Kris Kristofferson and Townes Van Zandt during some of his less than peak times. Really detracts from the song.

Yeah. You’re probably right. Singing pretty is HIGHLY overrated. Singing in Key is necessary.
